Wedding update: dress blues

Mom brought me a dress she found at a local boutique. It's not what I had in mind but it's lovely... and it doesn't fit! WAAH! It's too small!! We went back to the boutique to look for a larger one but they don't have any. GRRRRR.

She says we can alter it (the dress is actually a suit set; the skirt fits perfectly, the jacket less so in the arms,

As someone who wore something she didn't really want to wear at her wedding, I have to say that I think you should wear the dress you chose. You deserve to feel beautiful and have things the way you want them. I don't think you're asking much here. Moms are great, and there's the love and all, but when it comes down to it, it's a day that is about you & him. Just my two pennies US currency.
