Notes: I've given up on the show giving me what I want so I've written it. *very quickly this morning so pardon any errors you spot*
Summary: 11x03 fix it fic.  Kind of.  In which Arizona gets to talk and her wife actually hears her.

I'll honestly be surprised if it doesn't come up that Arizona would have more time for her fellowship if she gave Peds to Alex - but then I imagine the show would have them start fighting because Arizona can't give up control to him or some bull...

If this doesn't happen sometime over the next few episodes of GA for reals... I'll have to severely question what the heck is going on in the heads of those peoples within that Writer's room.

But picture this...

I'm elbow deep in a fowl carcass, trying to figure out of this was a perfectly good reason why I would never imagine myself cutting into bits of non-fowl flesh, but the email alarm goes off not once (LJ) but twice (AO3), and suddenly, ensuring that the turkey is ready sometime this afternoon has dropped off the priority list into the bottomless pit that is the reason I always give when I need to stop and go read. And I do. Stop, and go read, that is.

There are reasons, and very good reasons at that, and the above fic is an excellent example of why I can re-re-read your fic with absolute joy and happiness, because they make sense, and best of all, are true to their characters. :)

This was a hell of a lot better than what happened on the show! I've missed your writing! In saying that I don't like the idea of Arizona giving up Ped's which she's done forever to have another baby only to have Callie take on something new, it seems very unfair but it is the only logical situation that will work plus gets Alex back in at the hospital.

I'm glad Arizona got to actually talk because Callie was an ass plain and simple. We need something like this to happen, to actually see the conversation not just hear about it second hand but unfortunately it's Grey's and things like talking to one another don't happen for Calzona!

I thought about that and I just can't get to a point where I think Arizona would tell her wife NOT to do a project to help disabled vets. It just wouldn't happen. I think at this point Arizona is just trying to be reasonable. And her giving up her second specialty just felt easier than her trying to rationalize Callie giving up her project when it only adds a few minutes to surgeries she's already doing. And that's why I had Arizona mention Callie delegating that project between Jackson and Owen - because her sensors are already done, it feels like Owen and Jackson could take over the surgeries on the vets while she does her own tweaks and research with the bulk of her funding (since the vet part of it is only a fraction of her project)

We're not going to see anything. My faith is gone.
