I didn't say I'd reached any conclusions. Just that I'm getting a feel for it. How things are different from what I'm used to. That sort of thing.

If it weren't for the curses every few days, and the ticking, it'd be pretty close to normal. Except that there aren't any ongoing wars that I know of, and I try not to think too hard about the logistics involved in keeping the place running. Maybe being outside of time helps with that. I don't know.

Yeah, decent. I'm better with a weapon, but it'd be stupid to end up defenseless just because I got disarmed.

I'm pretty good. The gunblade's a rare specialization, but there can always be someone better.

Hah - yeah, that's true.

Is a gunblade what it sounds like, that is... a blade and a gun at once?

Kind of. It doesn't shoot anything, but the firing mechanism gives it an extra kick. Vibrates the blade for more cutting power.

Yeah. That's mostly how the organization I come from works. I've had some training and some practical experience leading a team in the field. A little bit of experience with larger numbers too, but I'd hardly call it my strong suit.

There might be a team or two here who could use that kind of expertise sometimes. It wouldn't be a permanent thing, but maybe you could freelance on the side.
