I could very easily be led to Laurel/Nyssa. I just wish I didn't personally feel so daunted by comic backstory because it feels like the shows are mapped out to an extent based on storylines that have already physically been written before I DO NOT understand Nyssa's life and R'as or whatever, etc. So the big picture is overwhelming for me.
Nothing specific, just that because these shows take so heavily from already-mapped out storylines I think that if I tried to delve into some fic or, really, even trying to read someone else's fic that encapsulates the outside influences well I'd be INCREDIBLY overwhelmed and would feel pressure to perhaps abide by the storyline guides.
DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL? I know what I"m trying to say in my head but my fingers are confused.
But I don't worry about that too much with Arrow. And I think most tv shows now, that have some other sort of source material try to stray away from the finer details (even if bringing in the big ideas for long arcs) because if you could just Wikipedia the whole plot before it happens, what would be the point?
*That's why I'm so bitter against Game of Thrones, but that's a whole other rant...

- So Arrow. I feel you. I watch it for Olicity and Thea but WOW i don't remember half of what happens in it. LIKE I DONT KNOW. So yeah, this is the originals 2.0 - So Scandal. LOL Lena Dunham. I did not expect Huck to do that but he went there. And yes, he's an ~interesting character but i can't say i'm rooting for him? IDK. i like him with quinn in a weird way too
ALSO, i feel you on this Tumblr/LJ hybrid. Mostly, i just hope LJ improves their mobile accessibility.
Mobile accessibility would be good, but I don't think it would improve *conversation* (and I'm such a grandma, still whining about this).
Oh, I remember Arrow (not the way I do The Walking Dead) but I can't remember Scandal, at all. Lena Dunham was there, and Huck brutally slashed her throat. That's all I've got.
