This Love Is Glowing In The Dark

Good morning! I have NO idea why I'm in such a great mood, I have a terrible cold and I am out of money after paying off my bills for the month, but I'm going to go with it!!!

badboy_fangirl was talking about The Vampire Diaries in her journal (as she does), and it got me thinking about the subject of EndgameWe all have our favorites, our wishes, and what we're ( Read more... )

I have to go to work, so I won't be able to come talk about this for like 8 hours, but I will be back!

Oh, Reign. I've found myself letting it go for several eps at a time this season and then only catching up when I'm bored. First season I used to almost always watch it the night it aired ( ... )

Hi you! Epic comment is epic!

all the girls getting married and being super devoted to their husbands it's so borrrrriiiingggg.

I know. And yeah, the first four episodes...well, it wasn't like Mary had *no* agency, but a lot of those first few ended with Mary and Francis in their chambers or something, and everything that she did all day, where she swaggered around the palace like a boss and didn't take shit from anyone just kind of melted away and she was a teenage girl who didn't want to fight with her boyfriend. (Which might be the point, but I don't know that the writers are aiming to be that clever.)

But these last few have picked up, fwiw. And I'm quite sure that you will LOVE Three Queens (the one where Catherine and Mary go on a roadtrip and eat chicken wings and drink beer and it is PERFECT). And while I absolutely wish that I was seeing new Bash/Mary scenes in every episode (and make-outs and stuff, because I'm me), I feel like the lack of shipping I have on this show currently is actually making me more interested in ( ... )

I'm planning to give Reign another try and catch up on it maybe this weekend. (Honestly depends how much progress I've made on my Yuletide because ZOMG DUE SOON. How goes yours?) Then I'll decide if I want to keep it on my watch list for at least a bit longer. I want to love it again. I really do!

Not that I don't like make-outs. We all love make-outs.AMEN ( ... )

Hey bb. Yeah, I'm just being a dramatic fangirl, all LIFE IS TERRIBLE.

I'm failing at Yuletide. I've written 3000 words of Beth Greene emotional vomit though.

I would be very happy to hear your Laurel thoughts! And looking forward to the crossover tonight.

I think Innocent is mostly about John. And so is Ours, if you're looking for sweeter songs (also Treacherous). I have another Fannish Friday post in the works- it was going to be about Fandom Boyfriends (to complement last week) but I think it's going to be something else, to tie it back to the love of my life, Beth Greene, about how sometimes we ship people who are perfect to each other and sometimes we ship people who are a fucking mess- I see John and Taylor as a fucking mess. :)

I haven't been inspired by TVD in a long, long time. Somehow, losing all of my strong ships on the show made me enjoy it more.

I assume you're talking about things from the novels when it comes to TVD? I admit I don't really follow the show, it's this thing I occasionally watch while ironing or vacuum cleaning and never shipped anything on it. As far as this season goes I was disappointed though that they didn't keep Damon and Bonnie in that alternate universe for longer, watching them was the best thing that had happened on the show in a long time in my opinion. Those pancakes with the blueberry and whipped cream vampire faces were the best.

Well, as far as "Reign" goes I agree with you about the point that they could have played the happier/flirtier side of things for longer. I was quite puzzled that Mary and Francis got married in season 1. I wouldn't have expected for that to happen until the middle of the second season at least.

I used to love Fannish Friday Discussion at my journal, and I've been kind of resurrecting it, even though my journal is pretty dead these days.

Woah, woah... I'm still here.

Yes, beebs. Me and you, holding it down strong. :)

And no, I was talking about the show TVD. I've never read the books.

Hah, yeah see... as I'm not really actively watching, I must have totally missed that part about Damon being a guardian of witches and I'm sure many many other things that are important to canon/people who are really invested. I suppose I should be embarrassed. And I lied, I just remembered that I kind of shipped Matt/Katherine for five seconds. :)

Damon being the Bennett family guardian was mentioned in s1- he made a deal with Emily (Bonnie's ancestor, and Katherine's maid).

And I ship Matt/Everyone.
