Title: The Right to Love
Spoilers: Takes place after ep 101 (8x09) after Pepa and Silvia have become engaged. This is a sequel to my previous PepSi fanfic,
In Love’s Defense. My fic follows LHDP up to ep 101 but departs from the show at that point - ep 104 never has and never will exist in this version of Pepa and Silvia’s world.

So sorry to upset you! Will really be wracking my brain to think of some spectacular sexy time to make up for all that I've put the girls through! :D

Glad Lozano is dead!
Can't wait for happy time for the Girls :)

Initially, I wasn't going to kill the character of Lozano - just have Pepa barge in, kick him in the cojones and haul him away in handcuffs. When staring at the middle of the chapter for the thousandth time, I was like 'Oh hell no! This mofo's gotta die for all he did!' That's where the vicious fight scene came from. Even though Lozano's an amped up, melodramatized villian, the beliefs he holds are sadly still present in 2011 - scary thought!
Yes, happy time is coming! Working on it right now...

WHAT I ESPECIALLY LOVED about this chapter: Pepa's characterization. Her locking the others in the van gave me chills: totally LHDP territory, and in fact if I were Alex P. (and thank god I'm not - how would I live with myself?), I'd be kicking myself that I didn't write that exact scene for the show.
Also: though it's sad to have Silvia out of the action, I'm sure Marian A. would have knocked your hospital scenes out of the park too, her gorgeous red locks flowing around her (comatose) face. I'm breathless just thinking about it...
And above all, thanks for updating! I'll always be happy to read more, whether it comes in a week or a year. (But of course, if there's anything I can do to help you go for the former option, let me know...)

I was surprised you loved the bit where Pepa locked the others in the van - I kinda skimmed over that part since I had no idea how she'd do it on a practical basis. I just knew that I wanted her to go after Lozano alone and have some kind of confrontation. I wasn't initially planning the fight or her shooting him to death, but after all I've put the girls through, I admit, it was rather satisfying to write!
Yes, MA would have knocked any hospital scenes out of the park - she and Laura could read a phone book and I'd be happy!
Working on the next chapter now, so there'd better not damn well be another long delay - otherwise, I'll be real mad at myself! But it's nice to have the muse back! Thanks for all your enthusiastic support! :D
