Seen on a holiday shopping trip at a place that sells calendars: a quiet, vaguely geeky, guy lurking behind me as I wrapped my mitts around next year's Original Star Trek calendar. The guy waits until I've turned away, reaches out and grabs the one remaining copy of the Trek calendar, then damn near sprints (without appearing to) to the counter to ( Read more... )

Nice to see you back! And thanks about the bunnies--R told me you'd sent her a pic already and she sounded very happy with it.

So, what do I owe you? *snick*

Heee. I'm glad the bunny turned out okay. It was a rush job between holiday outings (and my aunt's dial-up account that I stole nearly died of the strain of uploading an 800+ kb image)... :-P

And I'll have to think of something. *eg* Actually, I have something (sort of) for you - an arty thing for the dragon challenge. It still needs to be finished (I put it aside for teh bunnies), but I have to finish it - if only to indulge my inane humour over the title I thought of...

Happy Birthday, btw! :-)

Ha! That's a pretty funny story about the guy snagging the calendar. :D

It was so funny to watch - the guy clearly didn't want anyone to know he was a Trek fan... which is silly, because he'd seen me pick up a Trek calendar. It's not like I was in any position to tease him about it, LOL.

*giggle* I like making people laugh (when I do it on purpose, that is *g*).

And I'm glad we made it back safely, too. You never see more crazy people than on the road. o_O

Apparently you've been to North Carolina. I've never seen such a high population of crazies and idiots with driver's licenses in all my life. EEK.

*waves and hugs* Hope it is warming up for you over there in New Zealand. It's getting chilly over here...brrrr...

*waves back* It started to warm up, but this weekend's been cold enough for us to have to light a fire... of course, it was a long holiday weekend, so naturally the weather packs in. :-/

It's the usual sorts of pics, mostly from TOS, one of Kirk and Scotty in Generations and one a promo shot from The Final Frontier. I think they picked better scenes for this years calendar, though... and they always seem to make Spock Mr November so I have to wait nearly all year to see him. *pout*

It's strange. They brought out TNG ones when each of the movies came out, and they made some for ENT, but the only calendars they seem to produce annually are the TOS one, the Ships of the Line one and the little desktop one. I know my mum would LOVE to see a TNG one, although I think she's also pretty happy making her own. :-)
