Aww....

Still no word on the job front. Depressing. So I've been scanning some of Babs photos for her. It's part of a project Bab's doctors and psychiatrists et al have set for us, a way of helping her retain her memory just that wee bit longer. Trick is that like many patients with dementia, she tears up most forms of paper, including photos. Mum was all ( Read more... )

I think I had a beanbag like that.

Oh yeah, and you're still cute.

*thinks about habit of getting rid of all paper* *looks at shredder by desk* Am I demented already?

Oh, and while I'm commenting: You were talking about taking a vacation, getting a break right? Maybe visiting some friends in the UK. *raises eyebrow questioningly* I must have missed the post about you actually getting a break. Or perhaps you were too busy taking the break. :) (Feel free to whack me upside the head)

I think everyone in the seventies had a beanbag like that.

^__^ Aww, you cutie.

I've been demented for years, but I take after my US gran and go for hording stuff not destroying.

Mm, the break was my aunt going into a respite home for a while so I could catch up on sleep. Now she's slated to be in a home permanently, as her condition has been deteriorating to an extent that the docs won't allow her to live outside a care home. It's sad and depressing. Sigh. So that's why I'm doing the job hunt thing. I am desperately in search of a life and career so I can afford the holiday I bloody well need. *rueful grin* Whilst I'm not a sun on the beach vacationer (ugh), I would like to go scuba diving...

Well for one thing you got taller...I've been playing with scanning photos but I don't like our printer much for printing photographs. And I've got a couple of pictures that I'm sure I could correct but I think I need different software 'cause I think I'll have mask in some colors to fill in.

And yes, pages can look kind of cheesy. Much better to do them one at a time.

It reminds me a bit of the photos I've got of your carved Halloween pumpkins. I guess that would make the younger you the mouth...that's disturbing.

Ours was more pink than pumpkin, but yes, we did have one like that. It was also responsible for my mom nearly killing my sister. My sister decided one day that our yard needed decoration, and she wanted it to look like snow. In July. So she opened up the beanbag, with it millions upon millions of little white styrofoam beads and scattered them around the yard. In the flowers, under rocks, everywhere. When my mom found out, she was... not pleased. My sister spent the next several hours vacuuming the yard.

And yes, you still are cute. :-)
