Yup, the parents have bought a castle.

In fact, I'd found out they were going to bid on the thing Wednesday, when I rang to tell the family about my ice-cream incident. Heaven forbid that my mum lets herself be out-storied. Still, even an abandoned small castle is, well, A CASTLE! We're going to want to see pics, and I'm sure a little editing can replace the busy roads with a wind-swept moor or something.

They can have the one I'm living in now...Laurie and I are trying to get out!

Though it might need as much renovation as their new burned out shell. Or at least a new roof with a household cleaning done via a sandblaster.

Heh. After the stories of the last interesting house they had, I think I would be more shocked if you said, "Yep, mom and dad got a 1-story ranch house. No, no basement, nothing spectacular, just some standard architecture." :D
