Okay, this is SO drive-by, because work has been beyond insane and I'm probably going to be late typing this entry, but a couple things ( Read more... )

I eat leftover savory foods for breakfast often, so I'm not judging you ;)

I cannot explain, but maybe this makes sense to you?

I don't know about amazing, but here's this:

Your verse got trapped inside my head
Over and over again
You played yourself to death in me

Good luck with work today!

Oy, I think I am still too dumb to understand the bandwidth thing in any sort of depth, but that does at least give me a general sense of the problem. Thanks! At least now I don't have that stupid message anymore, although I'm still way confused about what has suddenly changed. I don't think that many people read my LJ and that's basically the only thing for which I use Photobucket. Confusing!

Mmmm, biryani. It's weird, because I used to really like stuff like muffins and donuts for breakfast, but now I'm a lot more into real food.

YOU PLAYED YOURSELF TO DEATH IN ME. That is seriously amazing. What's it from?

Augh work. I actually love being busy, because it makes the time pass quickly, but I can only do so many appts. in a row without starting to be super useless. Fingers crossed that I make it through five:)

Those lyrics are from a song called Stuck on You (Paramore's is the version I know, though I believe it's a cover). I'm actually not a huge fan of the song, but those lines stayed with me.

They were crossed! Hope it helped :)

OMG Vienna Teng's album! I have to go buy it.

I have been going to that page you linked me on fb and listening to "Goodnight New York" on repeat for days.

AHHH! You have to write. Also I attempted to nom 24 for yuletide on the off chance it gets accepted. The rules are confusing to me, is the thing. So specific. And I'm not sure what counts as a 24 story if it's a crossover and that lessens the numbers, etc etc and I hope they accept it! Then will you sign up? Hahahaha.

I will leave you amazing lyrics with which to write. Yep.

somewhere in the woodland
somewhere in streams
little life shuffles into the day
folded wings into flattening veins and fluttering eyes
somewhere my lifeline still hums and sings
in the mess of all I have thrown away
hungry now, I am gathering seeds to throw wide

IT COULD BE ABOUT WAKING UP NEXT TO RENEE.

Or something.

Bandwith is... yeah. I got nothing. Something to do with how much space files take up? Or take to run? Yeah, no. I don't know what I'm talking about.

Oh goodness, I entirely forgot about Yuletide! Which is dumb, because the posts keep coming up. But most importantly, did you nom characters? 24 is on the fence, TBH. It could squeak through if the mods feel nice. If it doesn't, it's our fault, ahahahahaha. Honestly it's stupid freaking ff.net that prevents us from having nice things. Ugh.

Okay, I know I am the world's most unreasonable human, but the sirens at the firehouse went off forever and now I can hear more wailing of actual vehicles, and every time that happens and doesn't stop I'm convinced there's been a shooting at the school. Fuck this fucking country. I really hope there has not been a shooting at the school. Or any school. But ngl, particularly this school.

Bwah, waking up to Renee, huh? What's that from?

Well the bandwidth thing has something to do with how many people hit a site where I use Photobucket, but I just can't imagine that very many people give a shit about anything I do, so I'm confused. Hmmmmmm.

Augh more sirens. My stomach hurts.

I nommed Jack and Renee and Kim and I didn't nom a fourth. The way I was reading the qualification shit, it was like 24 would be right on the edge. But even on fanfic.net it didn't seem to be surpassing the limits when you ruled out the other parameters. idk. I guess we'll see.

The sirens could be anything, babe. Probably there's a fire somewhere, if the fire engine sirens went off forever. I"m sorry. ugh. Try to breathe? I have my phone. Email me. Idk.

The lyrics are from Goodnight New York, which I'm about to go buy.

The sirens stopped. Idk, I just get knots because I am a basket case.

Woah, you are a rockstar covering all these noms. And yes, if 24 makes it in, I'll do it, although I'll have to figure out what other things to offer. Heh. Omg me writing Bull Durham, wtf? That was hilarious.

VIENNA TENG. I'm so mad that I haven't had the chance to listen more. Woe. I want at least three of them but of course I'm too brain dead to remember the names.

Fuck, your icon is giving me feelings.

I'm sorry work has been so insane! I feel like there should be a pause in time where everyone can have a week off to recharge and then go back to life again because everyone (including me) has been so busy and overwhelmed by things. I hope work is the good kind of busy, though, at least most of the time! *hugs* And I hope things will calm down soon so that you'll get a chance to write!

Is this at all inspirational? :P (I promise I'll send along any songs that I think you'll like if I happen to come across them!)

Also, I don't really understand how bandwidth works either. :/

Okay, I can't click play because I AM at work, BUT IS THIS THAT DAMN VIDEO ABOUT WHAT THE FOX SAYS? Ahahahahaha, omg that video. It is legit the worst thing I have seen in ages, and it gets stuck in your head and everybody is talking about it and listening to it and it just cracks me up.

Honestly I feel terrible bitching about work, because it's never been this busy so early in the semester and on the whole it's a GOOD thing. I'm already getting to put in more hours than I'm scheduled to do, which is more money and all that goodness. It's just that it's hard for me to focus for that long and still be good at my job, so I'm trying to take lots of deep breaths and water breaks. I'm sorry you're so crazy, too! Is it work or just life in general?

LOL YES I didn't even know what it was until I saw it on Ellen and died because it's just so ridiculous and wtf but at the same time it's so catchy, hahaha ( ... )

Yay officially joining the Grail; that is AWESOME:) But wtf, you don't get a break at work? Isn't that illegal? This is an unlocked entry so be vague, but I'm like, wut?

That song is so insanely ridiculous. I'm just cowering in horror waiting for S to discover it. At which point I will hear nothing else when he's around for weeks, UGH!

Hiii! I don't understand bandwidth either! Also the only lyrics I have stuck in my head at the moment are my warships are lying / off the coast of your delicate heart and also the entirety of "Stay" by Lisa Loeb because I am the cheesiest, so mostly this message is just to say hello and hope you have a lovely, not totally insane day!

leigh57 September 24 2013, 15:14:19 UTC
DYING at Lisa Loeb because in a true story of how old I actually am, Reality Bites came out the year I graduated from college, which of course made it eerily topical for me, and that song just has this iconic presence in my brain. /notsogoodstory

But oooooh, what are those lyrics from? I like them so much!

Well the first appointment was smooth and stress free. Now to make it through four more . . .

And hi to you also! I hope your day flies by.

That is a GREAT story, what are you talking about! I didn't even know it was featured in that movie, actually, though probably I should. I've seen the music video approximately one million times thanks to my near-constant childhood viewing of MTV.

And the lyrics are from "Little Hell" by City and Colour. I don't super love the song, but it's on my cops feelings playlist because it was on the show, and those are the lines that always jump into my brain.

I don't even really LIKE that movie, on account of a general lack of fondness for either Winona Ryder or Ethan Hawke, but it was just a zeitgeist thing for me, and there you have it. I still love almost everything on the soundtrack, which I may or may not have listened to one too many times curled up in the fetal position on my bed;)

COPS FEELINGS. Are totally the best feelings.

Bacon and eggs for dinner sounds absolutely divine! And I truly do love this one kind of fruit pie with a sort of oatmeal crust for breakfast. I actually enjoy it more left over than I do fresh, even if that's weird.

Cohen has such absolutely amazing lyrics. He's actually in contention for my next tattoo. It's only a question of how much I'm willing to condense. My favorite Cohen song ever is "Anthem," but it would be difficult to get all the words I would want onto my arm. LOL.

Just go with:

There is a crack in everything, that's how the light get in..

I had some apples that aren't that great so I made a crisp. Breakfast! I ate half while watching SHIELD which I'm meh on so far.

Everybody is so super excited about SHIELD, but I mean. Eh. I will see what people have to say about it and then decide. I don't do appt. tv anymore, but that doesn't mean I won't watch it eventually!

Yeah, I can't decide between that part and the "ring the bells that still can ring / forget your perfect offering" part. I love all of that song so damn much!
