A lame thing I will tell you -- I was all excited about THG soundtrack, and then I never listened to it! I mean I sampled the songs but really, I think I couldn't get over the T-Swizz and then probably I was listening to something else obsessively and I just kind of forgot about it. But that song is awesome and super haunting.

I'm so freakin' hungry. Maybe I'll go get a gross sandwich at the Eatery when I get off work. If tomorrow's the end of the world, I might as well have a nice sandwich.

I am just so ready for it to be DONE. I've been trying to avoid polling stuff for days, but I can't even look at newspaper headlines without seeing it. Bleah.

Go you with the karate. I lifted yesterday, but today is a lazy day. Tomorrow I'm going straight from work to the gym, in what I'm sure will be a vain attempt to destress myself:)

Going to the gym straight from work is the right idea. I go home first, and am tempted by the couch and the TV and a pile of library books! I need to remind myself that these things will still be here for me after Karate, and I will enjoy them so much more!

Oh man, is that just an unfortunate negative side effect of your travels to become an official lawyer person? Meh. I am so fortunate not to have to put up with any Republicans in my immediate family. My BIL is one, but I don't see him often and we have more or less reached detente. Plus, he's only a fiscal Republican and not a social Republican, and I find that this at least allows me to control some of the red rage.

Yeah, an unfortunate side effect, indeed. I'm leaving Wednesday to head to DC to visit friends so hopefully looking forward to that will keep me sane tomorrow. I could easily deal if it was just a matter of fiscal Republicanism, but alas, she is also a social Republican and that is what absolutely kills me. She buys into all the shit about the morning after pill causing an abortion, thinks birth control shouldn't be covered (even though she herself took it for many years), thinks I should have to carry a child conceived from rape, etc. I just cannot.

Yep, it's the social Repubs who induce red rage in me, not the fiscal ones. I disagree with the fiscal ones, but at least I can accept that they live in the world. Social Repubs? How can you . . . I cannot at all. The gay-hating and women-hating and totally bizarre ethical hypocrisy. The problem is that one of my most hated things in life is hypocrisy, and I have yet to meet a social conservative who isn't a hypocrite or at least doesn't like a lot of hypocrites. Damn people. Just live your own life how you choose to live it and let everyone else do the same.
