OH, YOU KNOW WHAT FANFIC I WANT.

Meanwhile, we have the twattiest client EVER at work today. Pee-drinking crapface,I swear to god.

Do I know what fanfic you want? Is it still RB? Or Suits? Seriously I'm not always sure! I can't keep up. Not everyone is as ridiculously stuck in a rut as I am:P

Pee-drinking crapface, huh? I'M SORRY TO HEAR THAT. You guys have the best insults. Yesterday A said to me, "Fuck your socks, you bag of dicks," and I laughed for like five minutes, hand to god.

p.s. I thought you would be amused by this description of the playlist to which I am currently listening:

These are the women who wander freely through the worlds of folk, country, bluegrass, and other Americana styles, stirring up a sound that evokes an evening spent watching the sun go down on a rural back porch.

Nah, its still RB. I also want, like, ALL THE FANVIDS.

Fuck your socks, you bag of dicks! THAT IS AMAZING.

ALL THE FANVIDS, I hear you. On a legit daily basis, I curse the fact that I'm so unskilled at iMovie. Because the only person who is ever going to make the Jack/Renee vid I want so much I can taste it is me. Is there lots of Snow Patrol out there for Sam and Andy?

DAMN, it's nice to be able to take a fucking walk even on the hills that surround our house and not wind up covered in sweat within ten seconds.

Well naturally I wish we could have the election today, for approximately a thousand reasons, not the least of which is that Obama would probably win. But it does bother me when the stupid story arc makes it necessary to be like, "Oh, it's all over now!" Because it's not. So much shit can happen between now and November.

The Who is a band that falls into the category of "music I feel as if I should probably know better."

I am astonished that there isn't much good BN fic out there, because from the description of the show, the fandom should be HUGE and prolific. There is just no predicting. You should ride her ass to finish it, lol. I think she's so close!

I haven't been over to ff.net in a hot one, but when I used to drop by there every now and then (in my desperation), I saw a whole lot of Tony/Michelle. And I find that just SO amusing. Sometimes I'm surprised there isn't more Jack/Audrey stuff out there, because in terms of a love interest who was around for the longest, she should technically win. Huh.

It is gorgeous and sunny here - I think they're saying 24 for today. Which means I'm on the hook for Slurpees after school. A's supposed to go camping with the Scouts this weekend and it's been so hot and dry there's a fire ban, so that sucks. What is camping without a campfire? They'll have to huddle around the wood-burning stove in the cook hut. OTOH, the fall colours are so lovely against the blue sky ( ... )

Dude, your high is higher than ours? What is happening to the world order? But frak, I hear you about burn bans. We had one here for most of the summer. In fact, I'm not even sure it's officially off, although we did a campfire last weekend and are probably doing another this Saturday. It's certainly been raining enough lately.

Well, I'm not an expert Constitutional scholar either, but I don't think Bush changed the Constitution. I just think he really enjoyed abusing the idea of what it actually says, as do most Republicans, actually. Then again, we always wind up in super stupid debates, because there is an entire cadre of people who think no one should ever take any kind of technological change into account when discussing the Constitution. Argh.

I always get my fic titles from music now! I think lowriseflare got me started on that practice.

1875 Mounties on Twitter what? You have the most amusing job!

The shower helped. I'm thinking FB is the way to go, because then they can 'like' articles and attend events. Her Majesty the Queen of England has created an event: Signing of Treaty 7. Big Bear will NOT be attending. Bwah!

Yeah, I would have led with Bush starting the war in Iraq, myself. The constitution thing seemed shaky.

Fic that I most want is also RB fic! I'm reading whatever crosses my flist, which seems to be mostly Suits, and also slowly going through all of your stuff. Which is most excellent! Also--I feel like I saw in a lowriseflare prompt post a few weeks ago a thing about Jack, Renee, and a child named Meredith? Did you make them a baby? Because I am excited to get to that, let me tell you.

I wish people on my f-list wrote Avengers fic, because I'd love to read it occasionally, but I absolutely don't even dare to wade into giant heaps of it over on AO3.

*snorffles*

Um. Well. adrenalin211 and I made them an entire AU in which there is a baby, Meredith. Yes we did. Only it exists almost exclusively on email, on account of it being THE MOST EMBARRASSING SCHLOCK EVER COMPOSED BY HUMANS. (I mean mine is. Hers is better.)

Consequently, beyond a tiny comment-fic here and there, I think this is the only Meredithfic story that has seen the light of day. I'm gonna put some of the other stuff up on AO3 once I've had the chance to clean it up. Oy. It's so cheesy!

THE MOST EMBARRASSING SCHLOCK EVER COMPOSED BY HUMANS? I AM INTRIGUED.

And wait, do you consider that posted story to be super cheesy? Or is that the cleaned up, de-cheesed version? I didn't at all think it was something to be embarrassed by! Though, it's quite possible I have pretty questionable taste.

Warning: The answer you are about to receive is probably a lot more than you wanted to know, but this is what happens when I talk about Jack and Renee. I just have a problem, okay? LOL.

The posted one is actually with somewhat reduced cheese, like part-skim maybe. When adrenalin211 and I write baby/family fic for each other, we just go for it. I don't post any of that stuff because basically, most people who watch 24 seem to pick up on and enjoy the side of Jack that breaks people's necks with his legs and tortures people with lamps. Don't get me wrong -- I find that side hot. But I also adore the side of him that pops up whenever he's with Audrey, Kim, little!Teri (I've never seen S1), or Renee ( ... )

No fanfic for me. Maybe when Fringe starts. I know that fandom has some good fic, but I don't feel the need to read it.

"A Song Is A Weapon" by The Stars is Very Dark, but I kind of love it. There's a new Mumford and Sons album coming out next week.

That was random. I'm super busy with my new camera a prepping for the photo shoot next week.

I'm sure there is excellent Downton Abbey fic out there, but I am compelled to read exactly none of it, so I know what you mean. Some shows make you need fic; some don't.

I heard about the Mumford & Sons. PLUS they are going to sing in a concert with Emmylou, and I just might flip my shit over that one. GAH.

How's it going with the new camera? Are you getting used to it?

Note to self: do not read online forums on the Thing I bought AFTER I've bought it. That way lies madness. The D60 is being dissed because of it's smaller size and weight. To me that's a GOOD thing. How many times have I not taken my camera on a hike or bike ride because I didn't want to lug it around?

When it comes to buying bikes, computers, cameras, etc, my rule is: Don't buy the cheapest model, but don't buy the most expensive either. Buy something solid and decent that does what you need it to do. That rule would apply to cars if I ever bought one!

I am super nervous and terrified and excited and all the feelings. I must spend the next few days practicing and getting into the right head space.

I'm sure that once you get used to it, the new camera will be awesome! The only time I've ever just gone for it with a purchase would be the iMac on which I type right now. And even then I didn't get the extra processing speed or whatever, because I just don't have need for it. Good luck with all the prep!
