Winter is here

About time, I guess - we had a long, warm autumn (or rather a very long summer), and it was getting a bit ridiculous. Though with the heating oil prices being what they are, after tax rises and what not, I hope it won't be too cold. A lot of people are having trouble making ends meet. It's a nasty thing, being cold in your own home on top of it.

I love the second watercolor in particular. That color palette is so hard to use without becoming saccharine, but you succeeded.

Spaceborn is being framed; I'll bring it home mid-November, after returning from a trip to California. Photos will follow!

I may have to adjust that one, actually. The scan doesn't represent the colours very faithfully. There's more of a contrast between greyer tones and more saturated ones, and a more prominent tinge of green in the sky.

Also, thanks for sending me your presentation earlier in October! I was insanely busy and in between trips at that time, and I neglected to write you about it. But the gist of it is - there's a reason why I'm so glad I came across your blog and related work, and that is because you always bring up thoughts I had often never considered before. Nothing like broadening one's horizon, right?

I sometimes write awayy... and then backspace awayyyyy!... XD It's automatic!

Time is really an issue here. I try to go to bed no later than 11:30 or so because otherwise I'm a zombie at work. Last night I had so many things to do that in order to write just a few 100words entries to catch up, I ended up staying up well past midnight.

But I'm going to give it (another) go. I should be able to catch up on weekends.
