So I wrote a drabble, exactly 100 words, of which I am very proud. (Standard HP stuff, though sadder than usual.)

Here you go! See if you can't figure out what's been stuck in my head for the past week.

No one mourns the wicked.

If there was anything less true, in all of history, Remus didn’t know what it could possibly be. At least, for him.

He ( Read more... )

Umm... It shouldn't.

It's supposed to be sad...

It got me thinking about how the wicked can be mourned too, and that even though someone is bad, he/she will still be missed. And I'm probably overanalyzing it, but the concept made me happy. Because the sad part is that someone one day whom I'm mad at is going to die one day and it's going to deeply sadden me.

...and that's my sob story explanation, with sentences starting with plenty of conjunctions...

It made me happy because it was deep. I think. I don't know.

Sad, indeed. I, for one, love it.
I'm REALLYREALLY glad had him mourn happier times, instead of hating Peter like Sirius. (Which, I find totally justifiable too, but for Remus, it would make more sense to miss happy!Peter.)

I think so too. I don't see Remus hating Peter the same way Sirius did.

But I was also working off the fact that at this point, Remus thinks Sirius killed Peter... So he still thinks Peter is good. (He's really mourning wicked!Sirius, because I'm a diehard Wolfstar shipper, and he loooooooves Sirius...)

But I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for reading!

Now that I read it again, I see that it could be after OotP, but when I was writing it I was thinking it was very shortly after James and Lily (and supposedly Peter) had died, and Sirius had been shipped off to Azkaban, and Remus was mourning his dead friends, but also his incarcerated lover.

But you read it anyway you like. :)
