Tennant to play Thranduil in the Hobbit?

Him as Leggy's dad? IDK how to feel about it; part of me is all 'LOLOLOLOLOLNO!' and another part of me is 'BRING IT!' The Doctor and Elves?

I feel torn too and with the exact same reactions. Although I was just at the imdb page and what made me giggle is Leonard Nimoy as Smaug, it's just a rumour right now but it just made me giggle. However, I am so freaking excited for this movie. :D

This is a really stupid question, but who is Serena? I'm racking my LOTR brain trying to come up with it and cannot for the life of me remember.

I think David is perfect for the type of character Thranduil is. I guess it's a little weird to consider because movie!Legolas and book!Legolas are quite different in a few ways, but I can see David Tennant pulling that off because I can see him pulling anything off not that I'm obsessed or anything ever, no, never *shifty eyes*. May I also add to this that I miss Legolas like crazy? I SOMETIMES FORGET HOW MUCH I LURVE HIM AND THEN MUST REMIND MYSELF.

I don't get how exactly they plan to work Frodo in (or Merry...and if we get Frodo, we need to have Merry and Sam and Pippin, I'M JUST SAYING), but I also don't care. xD I JUST WANT TO SEE THEM, GET THEM IN THERE. I've read the Tennant rumours for months... When they first came out I thought them a possibility because other likeable actors were confirmed too, but now I don't know. He's doing theater soon in London when the Hobbit starts filming too :/ Would be awesome if he could be in it though, so many Brit actors I like are!

My friend Matt would just DIE over the Fringe stuff. That's his favorite show. I hope it works out well on Fridays. I'd be really sad if it gets canceled.
