Thank you everyone who replied about my dad, you all rock. He's doing fine considering what happened. He'll be off work for awhile and the doctors think there won't be any issues with his injuries. Peter Jackson has posted a note on his Facebook page announcing the recast of Fili and the much-anticipated announcement of the actor playing Thranduil! American Gods may be a mini series on HBO. HBO + Neil Gaiman (with possible Tom Hanks) = FUCKING AWESOME! A co-worker and I both love Neil Gaimen and we had discussed that one movie wouldn't do justice to the book but a mini series would be best. When I first read AG it quickly became one of my all time faves.
