STARZ close to getting the license for Legend of the Seeker?

I'm all out of the loop these days, but there's some chatter about STARZ possibly getting the license for Legend of the Seeker, and if it goes ahead, that it might be announced at Comic Con this week.

this is my one fear about this whole thing but then I wonder maybe it's like such a big news thing that they lady at the desk even knows and then I can't think straight anymore...*crosses everything*

Really, It wouldn't be difficult AT ALL to reassemble the cast as they are still under contract at this time. That means if the phone rings and they are told it's 'game on', they are contractually obligated to report for work. This also why they can't accept any other work that would prevent them from returning.

As for the crew, they may have all moved on to other work (hopefully- I'd hate think of all those people being out of a job).

On the other hand, if the show is picked by another producer, Starz, DirecTV, whomever- That would involve all sorts of new contracts. I'm not sure if the existing contracts would remain in effect.

This would be so awesome! That's exactly what I thought, that Starz would be a great pick but since they already have Spartacus and now Torchwood, I thought it would be too much for a 'small' chanel like them... But that would be so cool and made of win!!!

oh I didn't know they picked up Torchwood. Interesting. If they picked up Seeker as well it would seem they're really making a grab for the genre fans that Syfy seems to have lost interest in.

Yes, you're right! It seems like Syfy doesn't pick stuff like it used to!
I was so excited that they picked up Torchwood, I will be bouncing evewhere if the pick up LotS too! ^^
