Had a lovely day today in Melbourne with misswinterhill and an offline friend, and a lovely evening with misswinterhill and in_the_bottle at the Supanova launch. A few of the guests attended, but no one I recognised. However, when the MC read out the list of guests for the con, GDL's name easily got the loudest cheer -- louder than James Marsters and Mary McDonnell,

Oh I've learnt that there are many Torchwood fans in Melbourne. Traditionally there is a lot of Doctor Who fans in Australia, so yeah with it comes Torchwood. Doctor Who has more of a connection with Australia than anything else.
