Greetings From Melbourne
I HAS INTERNETZ.
Had a lovely day today in Melbourne with misswinterhill and an offline friend, and a lovely evening with misswinterhill and in_the_bottle at the Supanova launch. A few of the guests attended, but no one I recognised. However, when the MC read out the list of guests for the con, GDL's name easily got the loudest cheer -- louder than James Marsters and Mary McDonnell, both of whom I would have thought were more well known in Australia. We also saw a woman in a Save Ianto/Hysterical Woman T-shirt while waiting in the queue (which was probably about 150 people, but of course there'll be WAY MORE people than that tomorrow).
Anyhow, we may not have run into Gareth today, but we did see this in downtown Melbourne:
