Ok, so I generally think these things are silly, but some of my friends did it and I rather enjoyed it. It kind of embodies what I feel like LJ is - small snippets of the lives of various people, represented completely and totally like they want them to be represented, and (hopefully) a bit concise

Will East Coast hoping include NYC after 4 June? I'm there all summer, would love to see you. Will try and be back in Missou for a week or so in September, but I imagine you'll be long gone by then.
Discourse - from the French "discours" -- several things. 1. a speech, usually politcal. 2. a collection of philosphical essays on a theme, like that of Descartes. 3. Can also mean general the general ideology defending by someone called an intellectual (intellectual in French means an arist or writer with a political engagement of some kind. Less péjoratif than in English).

(I would like to note that I am listening to Parade right now. Its so good. And I just recomended in a review that a play would be much more effective as a musical.)
