Truth to the rumor

Week before last Torquere brought out Bedside Manner, an anthology of three medical-themed novellas including my 1970s romp "Haven."  Release day is always a thrill, but then this weekend I received my copy of the print version, and WOW! the rumors are true!  Seeing my name and my story in print for the first time was a thrill of a whole different ( Read more... )

I can only imagine what it's like to have a standalone novel in print! I even bought my mom a copy, and inscribed it with bum-fun caveats!

I have thought of reworking Servant to smooth the episodes into a more novelistic arc. Thank you for your encouragement! (I'm also about halfway through a magical realism novel set in a New England mill town, for which I have Hopes of Print...). Cheers!

Congratulations! Ordinarily, I prefer single novels or novellas, but I am tempted by your story in this anthology. Recently, I won one of your stories (Servant of the Seasons series)in a contest and bought the 3 sequels immediately because I enjoyed the 1st so much. Your novella sounds like it's just as rewarding a read.

Thanks! I'm SO pleased you enjoyed Servant! Haven is very different, but was a hoot to write! I hope it's as much fun to read... :)
