Yeah, this sure does sound and feel like Amber. :-) I love the notion that not all of House's hallucinations were really hallucinations, that she was messing with him -- and I also love it that she's forgiven him and cares about him. Because I really think she did care about him, and a lot more than she ever let on.
Off-topic, I'm smiling at your music note. Cripple Creek by Buffy Sainte-Marie. *g* Love her. That song was on a record I grew up with.
Thanks! I'm at Chez Greyhound today and was just sketching Biscuit again. :-)
I've learned in the last couple years that generally, when I question whether to bluntly expose something in my stories or to half-bury it and trust the readers to dig it out for themselves, the answer is to trust the readers. Good call on that.
I did notice you played with the timeline a little, since the original fic was set prior to the purchase of the bed (and thus also prior to the whispering, and the trying to sleep in the Shrine). It was the only thing that gave me pause, but then I suppose that, for ghosts, time is definitely not a fixed construct.
So much love for House taking sleeping pills. He's got to be doing something we don't see onscreen, because managing his level of pain with freaking ibuprofen? Medical FAIL, show. And the thing about the Marines snarking about House and Wilson felt like a gut-punch. You know at least a few of them thought exactly that.
Once upon a time, I ALWAYS had a sketchbook by my side. You have my permission to hound me to start drawing again. I don't do realism, like you, but my own freaky wild messes always gave me gladness

If I were Amber, my ectoplasm would be itching to smack Wilson, too! :)
Great fun to read -- and I utterly adore your House-at-Wilson's-bedroom-door icon.

An early draft had Amber talking about how much she secretly dug House and the H/W. Thrilled that you saw what I tried to show instead of tell.
Thanks for the permisssion to refer to your wonderful story.
Off-topic, yay Buffy! Also, I'm a fan of your art.
