cue the crickets

apparently mother nature feared that i would miss the background of the vuvuzelas--the crickets are in full-voice tonight, and it sounds very familiar.

As a result of somebody accidentally stumbling across ESPN's rerun of the final yesterday, I actually got to hear the vuvuzelas, and they were different from what I expected. I thought they were like the horns one hears at places like Tropicana Field and the Oakland Coliseum, namely repeated notes generally in groups of three; this was more of a continuous buzz.

it is exactly like a continuous buzz and i can't imagine who finds that inspiring. it's not like it's a different note if it's for your team, for example.

womzilla and I think that "vuvuzela" would be great in the title game: I Will Fear No Vuvuzelas, Last Dangerous Vuvuzela, Foundation and Vuvuzela--you know.
