I'm so sorry you're hurting. I hope you're getting good medical care.
What size are the Rollerblades? We might buy a set from you if they're the right size for sinboy and have brakes. (We got a set free from friends, but they're brakeless and of such an ancient vintage that parts for them are hard to find.)
My doctor is OK, I guess. Most of the issue is that I'm not doing everything I should be doing, like, you know, RESTING, because we don't have time. :)
We've got a 10.5 and an 11. They do have brakes, but I don't recall his feet being that large. If I'm wrong, please, have at them.
But chin up, lady. I can't run, but I have found walking to be a wonderful alternative. Heck, I can't even walk at anything higher than 2.6 on the treadmills at my gym because there is something wrong with my knee. It's totally possible to lose weight and gain health from just walking. Plus, walking has the benefit of being a weight-bearing exercise, which is good for bones and can sometimes lessen the symptoms of arthritis.
If it's alright with ya'll, I maaaaaaaaay come with Matt and Jess. But if you don't have the space, or it's a pain, I won't be offended.
Oh, you're MORE than welcome to come on down. We'll have the space. We have the 4th off, and since it's a really dumbly placed holiday, we'll probably just spend it unpacking.
Worse comes to worst, we've got a tent. :P
(Just you, or will Mr. Butt be with you?)
I was just ... well, part of it was that I was starting to get into softball, and I wanted to learn to run at least enough to run the bases. But softball season was nixed this summer at work because the guys wanted to play in an intermural league. which, by the way, they're sucking majorly in. But part of it was competing in run/walks, where it just would have been so much more satisfying to bust out into a run some of the time. I haven't competed yet this year, which is really disappointing. Part of is also that my lead foot was kind of getting into my walk, too -- I wanted to go faster. :D But I guess averaging 3.5 or so isn't so bad... when I can get back to that...
It's not that I don't want to. I just don't think we'll be ready to do it by the time you guys come down. Seriously, I'm thinking about maybe September or October, when we've had time to critically look at everything we have and decide whether or not we need it. Chris wants to go through his books, for one.
Maybe we should do a "combined" one when we're all moved in to our new places. :D Even though we're moving to places that are hundreds of miles apart... We could webcam them together!
