Finding good fics in FFnet is like finding gold in a pile of turds. Looking for it is hell, but when you find it, it is GLORIOUS. I try not to subject myself to that too often. Once a year is good enough. >_>

Agreed. I mean, they've turned the guy into a plot device in his own right. A plot device that is used across approximately four-fifths of the TRC fic out there >.>

Although really, I'm still kind of witholding judgement on the whole Fay and Ashura thing, because even though it's clear that there is a Dark Past (tm) there, Clamp seems to be sticking to the personalities they gave characters in their respective original series, and Ashura-ou really wasn't that bad in RG Veda. Possibly cosmically stupid, but nowhere near abusive.
