I for one am impressed you went that long in your job without getting slapped in the face. It's possible I'VE been slapped in the face in more than the metaphorical sense in the course of earning money but I can't remember.

Also this 'I got Other Parent X thing, goddammit self' guilt reaction is what usually motivates gift shopping for my dad. Ugh.
