I'm assuming you saw gyzym's giant rant about Why Tony Stark Is Not Autistic on tumblr, and if you haven't, you should go read that, because it's pretty much accurate. Also people are crazy. There is an asexual fic for every character out there, including Jim Kirk, which, okay. what. ummm. alrighty. you do that.
But on the other hand I have 3000 words of Rodney McKay, Cat Breeder hiding on my laptop and that is a shameless, shameless piece of self-indulgent crap where Rodney has Exotic Shorthairs and spends a lot of time side-eying people with no cat morals, which is my favourite thing to do, probably after giving cut-eye to people sitting at the PETA booth at fairs. But at least I haven't let it see the light of day!
I really hope it does because right now I'm at the point of shrieking SOME PEOPLE DON'T WANT OR NEED TO HAVE SEX! IT IS NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. SOME OF US DON'T WANT OR NEED TO EAT TOMATOES EITHER. I do not care enough about sex to make a huge deal of it.

I'd say something about 'Clarissa' but there is no smut involving the two lead characters -- epistolary novels do not lend themselves to that much, I guess?

OMG Thank you for linking that XMFC fic! Excuse me for seeming overly excited. I've come across too many fics in this fandom either dealing horribly with Charles' disability or pretending it never happened. It gets frustrating and sad and I end up not wanting to wade through it all to find the good ones.
