Remix reveal
As I'm sure you're all going to be shocked and amazed to hear, I am in fact the author of Chosen One's Choice (You Were Meant For Me Eternal Dub for Remix.
estirose seemeed to really like it which is a huge relief, because the other fandoms I have in common are like, Gekirangers maybe. I haven't watched Power Rangers since Tommy was the White Ranger. I SHOULD since apparently in Jungle Fury they stepped up and made Black gay for Red the way that Geki didn't bother to (Black was gay for Red's father). (On the other hand Red and Blue were so married in Gekirangers that I didn't even feel cheated.)
(Also I did wonder if Jungle Fury really had the fun of making it so screamingly obvious that Rio was Geki Black and Mele [Camille?] was Geki Green, but somehow had lost the memo about what side they were on.)
The original story has nothing to do with Tendou/Kagami at all -- in fact, it's from Gatack Zector's POV and is a side story to a much larger story about Kagami and politics and finding one's own place (I really like the main story). But somehow. I just couldn't see Tendou sitting idly by or not noticing that Gatack Zector was attempting to claim Kagami for its own. This seemed, in fact, to be something that Tendou would be very interested in, even if he chose not to interfere. Tendou knows everything, you see. The path of Heaven lights all darkness.
Also, it is a fact universally acknowledged that Tendou Souji is as crazy as a stack of cats at midnight.
So I know a lot of you didn't read it because you have no idea what Kamen Rider Kabuto is all about. Give it a try! I think the drama comm still has active links to it, as does TV-Nihon's torrent servers. (If all else fails I will MAIL YOU THAT SHIT ON DVD.) It's about family and caring for each other and GAY GAY GAY HOLY SHIT HOW IS THIS AIMED AT TEN YEAR OLD BOYS GAY GAY GAY REALLY, TENDOU? REALLY? GAY. Of course it chokes and dies sometimes -- I don't think there's a Kamen Rider series that has not, at some point, caused the audience to wonder where the writers found that much booze and blow -- but overall, it's one of the more mature (ha -- well okay, as compared to the trains one, or the vampires one, or the VENDING MACHINE ONE) and interestingly plotted Kamen Rider series.
The plot goes something like this: Earth is being invaded by aliens known as Worms, and the Rider Suits are created and deployed by ZECT to protect humanity, but things are really not all that clear cut.
Also, Tendou -- the titular Kamen Rider Kabuto -- and Kagami -- the actual heart of the show -- are so gay for each other, it is amazing. Like, Kirk and Spock levels of gay.
Besides, if you watch the MAIN series, you can watch the AU movie, which is forty minutes of unintentional lawl and gay, starting with the way the musical director got drunk and decided God Bless America should be a running theme, and ending with multiple fights IN SPACE, which reduced me to such hysterical tears of laughter that the dog came rushing in to make sure I wasn't having a seizure. Not even Geki vs Bouken made me laugh so hard. (That however gets points for putting Bouken Red and Pink in black leather and making them fight Rio and Mele. Hottttt.)
And how can you not love a series where the writers realize they've totally painted themselves into a corner and instead of giving up in despair, get drunk and write a three episode Iron Chef mini-arc (hallucinations made of Tendou's insecurities, we has them) to give themselves enough time to write the rest of the plot arc. HOW CAN YOU NOT.

estirose wrote a remix off one of my KRK fics! I suspect she did it because she realized I'd had her but I was really excited when I realized for sure it was her!
IN OTHER FANDOMS: It appears that all the other remixes were done by the same person? Hakuen at AO3, so please go shower love upon them. I know I owe you a response, dude, will get to that soonest -- although I just found the one you wrote about Tifa and Reno, and I can't lie, I busted up laughing.
