And I don't like sneakers that much.

I'm kind of wavering between Dansko pros or the Mary Jane style they have or the Doc Martin Mary Jane style.

I do long-distance walking (10+ miles in a day, multiple days in a row) and swear by my Merrell sneakers and Keen boots. Both brands do more casual styles as well, including Mary Janes.

I have Dansko pro shoes and they're very comfy, though they do feel weird at first. I walked around playing tour guide for a friend from noon to after midnight in them once and my feet didn't die.

I also have Keen shoes and they're awesome. \o\

I walk a *ton* in my Merrells (not sneakers), but you do have to hunt down the right pair for your foot--some are narrow, some are wider, etc.

I had Doc Mary Janes but thought they were too heavy, esp by the end of the day--but that could have been the specific shoe vs brand-wide.

All my hair salon & bartending friends swear by their Danskos.
