I was reading We Were Here, a J2 AU by justthismorning last night and I was immediately reminded of Abundantlyqueer's amazing 'The Ice Age', a spin-off of the equally amazing crazybutsound's 'London Calling'. And just like these two stories, 'We Were Here' is about street kids prostituting themselves to make ends meet

I saw that fic at big bang. I chickened out because I thought J2 essentially were kids based on the summary. Am I right? Is there grownup J2 in there? Silly me, I can read wincest, hooker!porn!, a lot of kinks, but I'm very reluctant at reading kiddie ones.

Heee, I just updated my big bang reading list this morning. My reading is kinda slow here, and am way behind. But I'm totally into the one I'm currently reading ("With You Under A Cold Bright Sky"). :D

Oh they WERE kids in the story. Jensen was 16 and Jared 12 I guess ( it wasn't specifically said ). But the rating was R, not NC17, and the sex was just implied with very little Jared/Jensen. It's mainly how they got to be what they were, and how they managed to get out of it. Quite an interesting story and not really porn-ish.

There have been lots and lots of fantastic BB AUs. Have you read the Wimbledon one, and the secret agents, and splashpink's Dollhouse J2? And that gymnast/circus one, they boys looked HOT wearing tights!

We Were Here is rather a sad story. It's not that squeeable actually ( because of the subject matter ) but I thought the writing is good.

I had the same thought about ten paragraphs in, and thought I was surely the only person who would put those two verses together. Thanks for the links to the Lotrips stories. I was wanting to re-read and had no idea where to find them anymore or if they were gone. *glee*

I could not get her homeless rent-boy Jared and Jensen out of my head for hours after finishing the fic . . . I love stories that haunt me for awhile.

I still lurk over at AQ's Insanejournal, hoping that one of these days she'd continue with it. I DON'T read Ian/Orli but I found hers extremely hot! And I don't read Billy/Dom either but 'London Calling' is awesome :)

And yes, Jensen looking after Jared is just like Orli looking after Elijah, the little boy that he found and took under his wing.
