Fic recs
I was reading We Were Here, a J2 AU by justthismorning last night and I was immediately reminded of Abundantlyqueer's amazing 'The Ice Age', a spin-off of the equally amazing crazybutsound's 'London Calling'. And just like these two stories, 'We Were Here' is about street kids prostituting themselves to make ends meet.
'Ice Age' and 'London Calling' are unfortunately never completed but I'm still hoping that the authors would one day continue where they left off, the fics are that wonderful! And reading 'We Were Here', I imagine that Orli and Elijah and Dom and Billy would some day somehow get their happy ending the way Jared and Jensen did in 'We Were Here'.

Back to We Were Here, it was an enjoyable read. Not quite what I had been expecting ( What?!? I thought it was going to be hooker!porn! ) but enjoyable nevertheless. And it opened my eyes to the plights of homeless kids living in the streets, and yeah, I thought these things only happened in the slums of third world countries. Well-written and with great OCs, teen!Jensen looking after young!Jared absolutely broke my heart.
