It had been an interesting week filled with testimony from detectives, the teen boy on trial, as well as various doctors, teachers, and students. At the prosecution's table, Alex watches Finn's closing statement, both stoic and keenly observant. She gives the young woman a small nod when she reclaims her seat. "Good job," she murmured almost imperceptibly.

When the verdict is read, Alex bows her head in defeat and resignation. The verdict isn't a surprise - the case was shaky without the coercion - but she can't help but inwardly seethe. What the hell were Munch and Silvera thinking? Without a word or look to any of the others assembled, she slips out of the courtroom. Almost imperceptible in her carefully passive blue eyes is the bright spark of fury.
