I am so excited about my trip to CVS today. To start at the beginning, while blog-surfing a couple of days ago, I came across Crystals blog at moneysavingmom.com  She has a tutorial there on how to buy necessities (and non-necessities) at CVS for pennies of what they're normally sold for.  Of course this piqued my ( Read more... )

They're actually smaller boxes, I think there are ten cookies in each? But I plan on giving away at least 2 boxes...
I just couldn't turn down free cookies!

Wow!
How do you figure out how many ECB's things are worth?

The weekly ads and the monthly ads tell you which products offer ECB specials. The only thing that I bought that was from the monthly ad, if I remember correctly, was the toothbrush. The rest was all in the weekly ad. The weekly ad comes in my mail on Sundays, but both the weekly and monthly ads are in a basket right when you walk in the door at my CVS.
Today was the last day of the weekly ad sales for this week. But the CVS coupons I used ($5/$30, $4/$25, etc) don't expire till tomorrow, so I'm going to try to get my purchases from next week's ad tomorrow so that I can stack those coupons again. Using those four coupons alone saves me $14 off of $30.

Also, the SoyJoy bars earn you $4 ECBs, but aren't advertised. I found out about that on Crystals blog. And about the Keebler coupons, the Robitussin and Zantac coupons, which essentially got me those products free. Without her research and help, I would have spent much more.

Holy Cow. I should look that up. I am always running out of necessities and that would be a great way to stock up on them. Like right now I'm out of hair conditioner and trash bags. I'm sure those end up on the sales a lot.

Hmmmm

I wish I could find something like that for groceries. ;)
