Across the central part of Sweden a bit north from Stockholm lies Bergslagen, a low mountain belt where people mined for stone and iron ore since the ancient times. In the eastern part of the historical province of Värmland, not far from the town of Filipstad there is an area that was mined at least from the Medieval Age.

Через всю, к сожаленью, не удалось. В некоторых местах там так затоплено, что без специального оборудования уже не пройти. Однако и то, что удалось, мне весьма понравилось. :)

I fell completely in love with this place though it was terribly wet and muddy there. If not my husband I could walk around there for ages, explore every inch of it, enter every opening and photograph, photograph... :)
