I really can't believe that it's almost been four months since I last updated this journal. I don't even know who would still be interested in my goings-on, when there's facebook and my other blogs, but here are some highlights

I haven't noticed you not posting here, because I have been following you on FB and Twitter! However, I had no idea all of this was going on. I'm glad you updated; FB and Twitter can't make up for this kind of update.
I hope the treatments you are currently undergoing work. At least you have a tentative diagnosis. That at least gives you a place to start. *hugs*
As for me, I am working and living and loving and learning have to exhale, for goodness' sake. This phase of my life is about not panicking, as panic has been my m.o. for most of my life. I am hpoing that by this time next year I won't clench my body so much or grind my teeth so much. We'll see.
So glad to have a nice meaty post from you! Of course I see your stuff on other sites, but it's not the same, y'know?
While I'm sorry about all the struggles you've been undergoing in recent months, I do have lots of hope for you -- seems like you're tackling things head on, and going in the right direction, at the very least. The new doc sounds promising, and Mr. Etiquette? While it started off not as well as it might, at least you guys are giving it another try, and who knows what that might lead to?
Hopefully we might be able to meet up some time this weekend before I leave for Maine -- call my cell phone when you get a chance, ok? Or else I'll try giving you a buzz when I get out of work today.
good luck. prednisone is a life-saver (literally!) and definitely worth trying out. i mean, like you said, if things don't improve, you know it's something else!
i'm in a flare myself though i'm hopefully nearing the end of it and i'm weaning off pred.. down to 5 mg, very excited. :)
there are many types of chemo for lupus, and hopefully you can find something that does the trick for you. i'm sure you know that many times after chemo, the symptoms that got you on it are completely gone! that's my hope for you; that this is lupus and it will be gone after some meds. :) GOOD LUCK.
Being on prednisone before was a nightmare but the anti-seizure med I am on actually also combats the manic effects and allows me to actually sleep. Best of all, I'm finally more in control of the episodes being on prednisone and can start living life again!
I hope you're doing well health-wise these days. Been off lj for a couple months, so I need to go read your blog.
I don't update too often anymore because I'm so busy but I'm on Facebook a lot if you're on there!
I'm so glad you're doing much better. :) I have Lyme now too in addition to lupus (ha!) so I'm on long-term antibiotics for that. Sigh! It never ends, haha.
