So, I know I've been a whiny complainer the past few days and I'm sorry. But it looks like Windows Movie Maker is fully corrupted so everything I've ever done with it is going to be lost. Which is about as fun as it sounds because I have one vid finished and my Bela vid that I've been working on for a YEAR will also be lost. At this point, I'm ( Read more... )

I'm glad you've finally remembered to take your chillpill today. ;)

Dude! You brought the mouse to the cheese? Was there a mouse trap? Did Tom pop out of nowhere?

If by chill pill you mean cake batter ice cream, then yes, delicious chill pill.

No, just...a mouse. Needing cheese. And I brought it there. With my mouse. Oooo word play.

I'm still detecting some bitchiness. You could have at least brought the cheese to the mouse. You have no consideration for others. *shakes head*

Ice cream sounds awesome right now. In fact, I'm going to go get some. Deuces~

Look, the mouse wanted to go there. Plus, I was probably trying to hide it from my cats or something.

I agree with your methods.

I wish somebody would give me a little recognition. I use the scroll bar all the time! >:O

Yay coinstaring monies! And jobs, those are job to have. Take my broke word for it, lol.

I'm so sorry about your fanvids. I once lost all the fic I ever wrote because a community closed and I hadn't saved it to my computer, so I can honestly say I've been there and it. is. the. worst. ever.

Clearly, I used it the best. Hence my congrats banner.

I've been out of a job since April and broke since May, I hear ya. My bank is even holding my last $30 hostage for reasons unknown to me because I never take the time to go to the bank.

Sometimes it's not so much that I lost them because I've lost vids before because YouTube is a fucktard, it's that I never got to share them with people.

I can imagine that is just the worst thing on Earth. I can only imagine how much work goes into making a vid. *huggle*

Banks are flighty bastards. D:

*huggle* The one vid that I finished I worked on for...about a week. Probably two days total working on it, hours wise. And I've been working on my Bela vid since about November of last year, so a LOT of hours on that one.

They are. I know I should go talk to them, I just never make the time. I should, I need that money.

So is the only issue that you can't download a working, uncorrupted copy of WMM? If so, just save the files until you have a better copy. Unless it corrupted the files along with itself. :(

In other news, your scrollbar image was wider than my layout, so it came with its own scrollbar. Whih I was forced to use. I feel smarter.

The problem is that if I uninstall my current version of WMM, then it's going to lose all of my clips. and then the video probably won't work right because it'll be searching for clips that no longer exist. And we searched for the bin because we thought we might be able to save them, but it looks like that part is corrupted too.

Oh, good, so I can pass on knowledge. Maybe that was the point of needing that for my teaching certificate?

I have no idea how WMM operates, but is it creating movie files that exist utterly inside it's own interface (and can't be saved separately and reopened)? Or are they now unextractable? Or corrupt in and of themselves?

From what we've figured out, it basically loads the clips into an interface and then when you add the clips to the timeline it creates links, not actual clips. So if I redownload WMM, the links/clips won't be there anymore, and the project will not be able to find what it's looking for. Does that make any sense? I feel like I'm not making sense.

Uhm...why do you need to know how to use a computer in pre-school? *iz confused*

There are actually classes on teaching kids computers, but I'm not taking that because I'll mostly be working with infants. I thought it was for the teachers to learn how, and I thought that was silly because who doesn't know how to scroll, but then I remembered trying to teach my mom's friend how to use Craigslist, and the answer is, "Quite a few people. Quite a few people."

Scrolling is teh shit. *g*

I can save the projects, just not the vids in a way that other people can watch them. It is endless fuckery.

Woo!

It is and I have mastered it. ;)
