From a news article entitled Quebec viola player wins 'Stanley Cup of classical music':

Toronto businessman Seymour Schulich is to present the award, officially called the Golden Violin, to Quebec viola player Lambert Chen.

Does anybody but me see some major irony going on here? (Hint: look for the bolded words.)

Well, the award's supposed to go to the top string player, right? It's kinda silly, but "the golden string instrument" doesn't quite have the same ring.
