In things i did not know: Thea Gilmore is 35 weeks pregnant. Let me tell you, if I were 35 weeks pregnant, the last thing in the world I'd be capable of would be entertaining a room of strangers, so if she'd been half as good as she was tonight, I'd have been impressed. As it was, she was stunning. She was funny, without seeming like she was really ( Read more... )

Oh, I'm so jealous. Sounds like a fab gig! I'd like to know the story behind Juliet - one of my favourite songs. And I can totally understand how Crazy Love could give you goosebumps. Her version of it is amazing.

Are you on the mailing list at theagilmore.com? I won a t-shirt in their competition recently, which was a lovely surprise, although it doesn't really make up for the fact that I doubt she'll be coming over here any time soon, what with a new baby. *g*

Yes, me too. I'd never really thought of it as one of her angrier songs before, but now I'm intrigued.

*nod* I mean, I love the song anyway, but she makes it hers, which a lot of people can't. It was pretty amazing, really.

No, I think she'd probably want some time off first, though I think her version of time off possibly is a bit harder working than mine. She's talking about having three albums worth of songs already written she wants released, so at least there will be new material while you wait, hopefully.

And I'm not on the mailing list, actually. I'm not sure I knew there was one. *goes to check out*

*is so jealous*

I doubt she'll be here for a while if she's that pregnant, though. Sigh.

*pets* No, probably not. Though if it makes you feel better, Vienna Teng is playing New York again, so it'll be my turn to be jealous. The Living Room, I think, if you don't already know.

Oh, I did not know that. The Living Room is lovely. It's also where Tom McRae is appearing.

hmph. You and your cool New York venues, and your stars who actually sell tickets for dates instead of just talking about them. I'm not jealous in any way. No. You should never think that. *g*
