To t_verano

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, SWEETIE!

I hope your day is fun and lighthearted, with lots of decadent trimmings. Baby, you're the best!!

I took your email of frustration the other day and uh, borrowed part of it for your birthday present.

Thank you. And thanks again for taking a look at the rough draft for me.

I couldn't resist turning T's email to me into a little story for her. Thanks for reading and commenting,

Did your keyboard get all weird, too? Or can you relate to the ditching paperwork. (That part was fantasy fullfillment for me).

My old keyboard had close encounters with coffee, coke and hot chocolate thanks to people eating and drinking at my desk.

Hee, that was very cute. But I feel so bad for T! I hope she got her keyboard woes taken care of. Too bad it couldn't have been Jim (and Blair) showing up at her house to fix it for her...

That would have been nice, but I had to go with plan B instead.

What a pleasure to read such "slices of life"! Thank you!
I was in Blair's shoes myself when first I'd spilled my coffee, then my son spilled his juice and overturned the candle, so spilled melted wax on my keyboard. That was the trickiest part :-) But now I'm an expert in cleaning keyboards.

I saw a lot of stuff about it when I did the research for the story -- I guess a lot of people spill liquids of one sort or the other. You're the first one I've heard about that dripped candle wax on their keyboard.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
