What a treat to read a bit more of this, I'm still enjoying it hugely. You really had me worrying about the HIV possibility - I wasn't sure where you were going with that one (phew). Now you've got me puzzling over the contents of the envelope. Grrrrr. In a good way *g*.
I couldn't leave Jim and my flist worrying about the AIDS possibility, but I wanted Jim to get some perspective on what is really important to him and there is nothing like the potential of losing someone to make all the petty shit you stew about become totally unimportant.
Ah, the mysterious Findley family history - more clues next chapter. Glad you enjoyed and enjoy your week off of work. I'm off too, after Monday, but I'm still running around like a fool. No lazing around for me but it sounded so nice ::looks wistfully through the window of the coffee shop at Snailbones enjoying her coffee and whatever she's reading:: Thanks for reading and commenting, Laurie

You're making me feel bad - you're running around madly and still managing to write great stuff, and I take the week off and loaf in the coffee shop. *g*
Have fun when you do finally manage to forge some space for yourself. ::hugs::
::gets out big screwdriver to tighten Jim's head::
The rough draft is done for this story, there are three more chapters, but then the story is continued in the sequel, so not really concluded. When they are beta'ed I'll post them.
Thanks for reading and commenting, and if you go Black Friday shopping, good luck with the hunting. And your icon becomes you. Laurie
They so know he's a Sentinel! That's how their ancestors escaped, gotta love the irony. And Weeeeeeeeee! Jim got it. Jim finally understood that it wasn't a misunderstanding as much as it was a failure of the two boys to rely on each other (although I'm not totally blaming Jim, just mostly). And Weeeeeeeeeee, take protective custody, haul Blair back to Cascade, and then hunt down the people who are out to get Blair and rip their guts out. Yep! That works for me. Do you get the feeling that I love this story?
Yes. And I appreciate it muchly. And that plan will work for Jim but Blair's pretty sure they are past the point of resurrecting their relationship and might not want to go back to Cascade. Jim is getting it now, but it took a while after seeing Blair for the old synapses to start firing in his head. I think the flist was ready to shake some sense back into him but he had to get there on his own.
The Findley family history information is, as Jim suspects, a test for him. What he chooses to do about it comes up next chapter. Thanks for reading and commenting, Laurie
It took a while for Jim to get his ticket, but he's on board now. I'm happy that you're happy to read some more. Thanks for reading and commenting, Laurie
