Dave really *did* enjoy waking Jim up so early, I know it. :-)

Love, dread and pain all thrown together with a side order of helplessness. -- I love that, and Dave's detail about Blair catching himself and shutting up when he gets interested in something and starts to babble.

Dave is such a good guy. And Jim too, even when he has to go the long way around to start getting there sometimes. That William/Jim thing is so right... This is such a *satisfying* story!

I'm glad that your suggestions worked out. Now that Jim's figured out he modeled his father's less than admirable way of handling people he can be on the lookout for not repeating it.
Thanks for the detailed feedback(of course you gave me pages of it already, all of which I appreciate).
I'm not at home,I'm in Ohio for Thanksgiving so I'm not checking my email. I'll be home Sunday night.
Hope you are having a good Thanksgiving and that everything at home is okay.

Thanks for reading and commenting,
Laurie

I knew I had to have missed a chapter! Came back and found it! I do enjoy the terse way you have Jim thinking and speaking in contrast to his fullsome dreams! I just hate he had his senses turned down for the biscuits and gravy *salivates* Now, I need to go hunt up some lunch!

I hope you all are keeping warm and safe and healthy and happy this holiday season!

((hugs))

They say we might get ice and snow, but we've been to the store and the house is warm (wood stove).

I'm glad you liked the dream and the contrast to how Jim is actually communicating. No, no biscuits and gravy -- Jim just wasn't in the mood to be distracted by his sense of taste. I hope you found something delicious for lunch.

Chapter twelve is up.
