Okay, I'm really disgusted right now. I cannot begin to explain how violated I feel.
Now, I haven't posted all week because I've been busy floating in my head doing stuff that's of no particular interest to anyone. I was going to post something remotely silly but no! LJ has given me something to rant about.

rant against bots )

I hope I didn't offend you, by the way. I was really angry last night. I took a bubble bath to calm down, LOL. And I know you're not a spambot XD I know you comment here from time to time about fandom stuff! The spambots never give or receive comments, it's one of the things on my checklist for profiling bots.

And yeah, my sister does love her Macs because of all the photoshopping she does for work. She's like, a photoshopping genius or something.

As for the Mac thing, that's a complete fallacy that Mac owners like to perpetrate. Macs simply don't get the level of hackers because they're aren't as many of them. So hackers aren't as interested in writing up special virus codes for them. Hackers like to do the most damage they can in one pop, so they choose PCs.
But the problem now is there are getting to be more Macs and people are still passing around the lie that Macs don't need anti-virus software. So that when a Mac does get a virus or other undesirable code it has free reign on the computer until it finally kills it completely.
I'm so sorry about the spybots. I don't know about Macs, but we have an external hard drive where we keep a back up of everything in case of a catastrophic crash.
*hugs*

You're right about the Mac fallacy. Sigh. I guess since the Mac is getting more popular, more hackers are making stuff for the system too.
Thanks for reminding me to back up my data. :D That's something to tack on to my to-do list...
