There have been some who theorised that Nanao and Lisa (Risa) are related. It's possible, for their faces do bear lotsa similarities. =D

Kubo-sensei is revealing almost everything I've wondered about since the start of Bleach. I can't believe Tessai would actually give up his Magic!coat for a shop assistant's clothes, though... I mean, think of the quality of that outfit... Eh. Do you think that Mayuri had got his be-horned inspiration from Tessai's own?

(Your 'peopling the Bureau with chibis' bit made me think of Suiseiseki from Rozen. She was calling everyone else a 'chibi' at times. Hahas.)

Hmm... Nanao and Lisa (Risa) related?! They do look alike... but then, Byakuya and Rukia look alike too, and they aren't blood relations. (Please God don't let Kubo pull a stupid stunt like that or else I will fly to Japan and spork his brains out.)

I know, it's hard to speculate right now on why Tessai would give up his Magic!coat (nice one, heheheh) and his Devil!Spork to hang around Jinta and Ururu all day, and make inventories of candy. My best guess right now is that he will also be driven by guilt... I mean, hello! He decides to take a nap instead of insisting on investigating the scene, right?

It's nice to know that your interest in Bleach has been rekindled. May the fire burn bright, whee!

And oh, I do owe you an email. *hangs head in shame*

hugs,
laurie

Well, I believe that there's got to be more in it that that - guilt. It must be something that happens later on which causes the departure of Urahara, Tessai and almost half of the other Gotei leaders. From Rukia, we can actually infer that most of the 'later/younger' shinigami are kept in the dark 'bout the previous captains, since she doesn't recognise Urahara, nor any of the Vaizards.

Soul Society must be keeping it all a hush-hush matter. What Urahara's going to do later, is it really of that kinda scale?

Kubo-sensei HAS to send in -101 soon. Garh.

The email... It was so very long ago, do it doesn't really matter now. ^.^

P.S. The flame I'd kept burning for Bleach hasn't ever gone out all this while. Really, I believe it's my RL friend's that has. She's been complaining (indirectly; read: on her LJ) to Kubo 'bout how she has 'gone over' to the other mangakas while he's plodding out the HM/"IchiHime" arc and the Negs. Sheesh.

more crack from me! whee laurie_bunter May 19 2008, 13:31:49 UTC
Yeah, well... maybe guilt and something else thrown in. Like a character death, or at least, a character's loss of power ( ... )

You know, I got something entirely different from Urahara's sending Hyori out to the scene of the crime. While he hasn't gone completely out of his way to make Hiyori feel valued, he absolutely does not trust Mayuri to do anything but research and all that other scientific stuff. I kinda think maybe knowing Mauryi and having been his jailer for however long instilled an automatic suspicion of him. So Urahara has him on a much shorter leash. Hiyori is assumably the only other person in the 12th strong enough to be trusted to face whatever's out there.

And as for Shunsui, Nanao and Risa, OMG won't that be the reunion to die for? I can't wait to see it.

You know what? That interpretation really works too. :) I like it!

And Mayuri on a short leash... the wording also puts in strange mental images before me... none of them particularly sexy, heh. Egyptian headdresses for men are just not my thing.

Uh, maybe I should read these latest chapters at some point. I've gotten a bit behind again...and I can't even remember which was the most recent chapter I've read. D'oh. Seriously, though, I'm still waiting for those interactions between Rukia and Ichigo; it's been over a fucking year and this is ridiculous.

DAMN Adam, read the manga, it's great now. The stuffs going on now beats an IchiRuki reunion for me.

As for you, Laurie,

Right now, I'm toying with the theory that Urahara actually helped the Vaizards escape by giving them the new untraceable gigai.

How can that be overthinking? I see it as the only obvious solution to keeping the Visored out of that damn Maggot's Nest once they are no longer able to keep their officer positions due to being you know... tainted with Hollow or whatever. I saw that one coming the minute we were shown the Maggots Nest and told that horrible story about how SS was the sort of place you could never retire from. Oh THAT'S why a untraceable gigai was such a crime. Seemed like not a big deal to banish someone before.

Kubo thinks this stuff out.

Man, like for fucking YEARS. I couldn't have waited seven years to reveal why an untracable gigai was a banishable offense. It just seemed so random.

No, Deb, I demand my random IchiRuki reunion in the middle of these flashback chapters, so these two characters will literally defy time and space when they're together.

Anyways, yeah. For you, this stuffs that are a goings on now probably beat an IchiRuki reunion, but I've been reading Bleach primarily for Ichio and Rukia for nearly five years.

...But, it's not just Bleach, I'm way behind on a lot of manga I like, especially since my laptop went wawa again.

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!

Also after being stuck in the CLAMP Universe for some weeks, Time & Space are irrelevant!

Ichigo and Rukia are clearly hitsuzen, Kubo needs to stop dragging his feet.

I haven't read the recent chapters either, cause while chibi!Byakuya is yum and all, Rukia is my love...I'm just a terrible fan (yay me!)

It helps that Code Geass has left me thinking up clever ways to annihilate people/Suzaku...

Wow, 102 is out? I am so behind ._. I just read 103 which I downloaded a week ago. As much as I don't like Hiyori, I dread to see what's going to happen in 102!

By the way, did anyone wonder why was Mashiro massaging her own breast in her sleep and drooling!? Because that's the first question that ran through my head.

Can I tell you a secret? *whispers* I don't like Hiyori too much either. I think she's too rough with Shinji.

Haha, I did see some comments about Mashiro massaging her own breast. Although some people think she's just scratching her underarm. I'm not sure which is worse... both actions are not the stuff you should do in front of your captain unless you want to give him weird ideas :D

I know this is stupid but I kept thinking Lisa and Nanao were the same person when the flashback chapters began. I have sort of merged them together as the same entity. @_@;; I only recently remembered they're different people. (I thought it was Nanao in a miniskirt when Shunsui appeared in the flashback @_@) And it did strike me as odd... and it only made more sense to be Lisa afterwards.

I hope they're related. Like twin sisters, or something. That would be cool. :P

They do look alike, don't they? When I first saw Lisa, I was confused... "Why is Nanao wearing a sailor outfit?!" At the time I had chalked it up to laziness on Kubo's part, and that he had started recycling character designs.

Oh, I'm so glad to have been proven wrong. :D

On crack theories, I love this one I read that Lisa is really Nanao's mom. Mwahahaha.
