Whole rainbow of colors

Last weekend I broke my little right baby toe running into a bedpost looking for the light switch (except to turn it OUT of course so the room was broadly illuminated). At least it was in a strange house; namely, my friend Rob's parents' house in the Poconos where I went this past weekend. A sort of weekend getaway funtime before Sammy and Brendan ( Read more... )

Yesterday, a doctor confirmed that I did, in fact, fracture my right middle finger a month ago when doing a Homer-Simpsonesque fall down my back stairs. Initially, it was very discolored and swollen, but I could move it, bend it, etc., but it was VERY sensitive to certain movements, especially those goofs who like to shake hands by squeezing your fingers.

This was on top of, or in addition to, my getting my first ticket of any sort in 20+ years, and having my car towed for the first time in 20+ years. I feel like I'm in some sort of cycle, so I'm trying to remember what other bad thing happened 20 years ago so I can prepare myself. Or maybe the bad luck run is through.

Actually, I was hoping my finger would get a splint, so I could basically tell the world to "f*** off" constantly, but for medical reasons, of course.

Hope you're feeling better. My finger reminded me that we don't pay attention to the constant contact our body parts are involved in until one of them is hurting.

i stubbed my toe this weekend too!! at a cabin in the woods! except mine was my right pointer toe. i can't really wiggle it, or put pressure on it.

my story went like this: i drunkenly thought it was a good idea to jump in the lake in the middle of the night. i must have hit a rock, or a few rocks, because when i was back on dry land my toe was covered in blood. the next day the pain set in. i don't think it's broken, but it pretty much hurts constantly.

just think, before too long will be able to lament together!

Heyyyy I learned you need to be extra careful with your big toes cause they control your balance and gait. Maybe you should hit up your GP if possible before you move? OOoh I don't even want to suggest superfluous activities. I love you. I'm sorry our toes are sad.
