There would be a cool post here, if it weren't today.

Not that today has been bad, as such; it's more that I am barely sputtering along on the very last fumes of brain-power. At points during the day I found myself thinking, "what if I posted about.... No." Or "Wonder if I.... No." Finally it was just "No," skipping all that useless preamble stuff ( Read more... )

Ah, read this earlier and had an interruption and forgot to comment. Thank you for everything but especially for the Raeburn- amazing piece, that strange kind of hyperrealism that melts into abstraction, gave me a lot to think about during a day otherwise dominated by doing things rather than thinking them.

Julia, fixing fences, feeding chickens, and laundry, interminable laundry...

I'm so glad the Raeburn gave you food for thought. I really loved the painting, yes, as I do so much portraiture.
