I want to thank you all for your comments and kind words about NDN. I would respond to each comment individually, but I really don't know what else to say, other than "thank you." I'm still a little bit in shock about the whole thing. I keep thinking of doing a big post of pictures and memories, but I can't think of what to write. It all seems so ( Read more... )

Tires like that bring back memories! The first public elementary school I went to when I was in first and second grades had a bunch of those big tires (of varying sizes) on the playground, painted all sorts of fun colors, some buried a little in the ground so they'd stand upright. They're the perfect size for little kids to play on or hide in!

oOo lucky! Our playground was full of tires too, but only one size. Much smaller than those huge ones, and they weren't painted either! Black with a white stripe, all of them! We had "climbing tires" which were tires bolted to upright railroad ties, and "swinging tires" which were bolted to each other in a circle, with chains hanging them from more railroad ties. We were ghetto! :P

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully next Tuesday will be much better.

Thanks :( I'm full of dread about next Tuesday, but the "things happening in three's" thing is just superstition, right? :/

Start getting your pictures together - I think there's talk about making a website with pictures and stories so that the kids can look at it when they're older.

:(

Fuck.
Hurts.

I just scanned a bunch. I'll be posting some of them, but they're over here if you want to see them now. I didn't scan the ones of him shirtless getting duct tape put on his nipples by Mel's boyfriend Ray. People always get mad at me when they see those pictures because they're scary. Ha!

God damn it.
