Memorial Day Adventure Day 4, Part 7 - Conway part 1

A nasty critter was just dispatched in my house. I saw it the other day, crawling across my desk. At first I thought it was a large ant, but it had a big butt, and it flew away. Scared the hell out of me! I couldn't tell if it was a flying ant, or some kind of wasp. Evil, at any rate. I assumed it was dead, cause that was days ago, but today Peanut ( Read more... )

That cube is certainly mysterious...was the interior all concrete with no holes or windows?? Wow. The door frame is certainly pretty anyway...

And I agree with you on the masonic symbols. On the temple in Albert Lea they were little globes on the front sign and, at one time anyways, they could switch each one on individually when there was that particular meeting in progress there.

Oh and that red house picture is wild! Was that special film or photoshopping??

Nope, no windows, just the one door. Someone else responded that they believe it is a bank vault.

I've seen tons of Masonic lodges with several symbols affixed to the front. There is a square and compass, an OES star, and usually the cross with the "in hoc signo vinces" on it (not sure what that's for). Sometimes others. Maybe there was a shrine symbol. Kem or El Zagel, there are only two shrine temples in ND.

The red picture was totally photoshop! I ps all the photos that aren't very good on their own...

Yep, one light was the square & compas, one was the eastern star and one might have been the shriners. There's also is/was an organization for young women but I forget the name offhand...

Your brick cube is actually a bank vault. I've seen many of these around the state. The building is torn down and the vault door is removed so that there aren't any "accidents" with people being locked inside.

HaHA! I was right then! But, why do they tear down everything else, but not the vault?
