The City on the Edge of Forever

rift: a tear in the fabric of spacetime, through which objects and people can fall, or be taken.
That, and everywhere in the universe known to occupy a rift, were the first things Jack had learnt, at the Time Agency.
Previously, he’d witnessed the power of the Cardiff Rift just once. But now, in the early hours of a new century, his team-mates are in Cold Storage, their blood’s scrubbed away. Hidden in the vaults he’s very rarely visited, Jack sees the tragic part of Alex’s legacy.
How the hell is he gonna help these people, all on his own?
