i've often thought one of linux's biggest failures is there are too many distros, and the innovation is spread too thinly over them all.

that said, i'd just pick a distro and go with it. one OS is enough.

Well I got them all to work, after maybe 20 hours of fucking around. The correct sequence was:
1. remove extra drive that thought it was drive "a"
2. Install SUSE first
3. Install Ubuntu next, and use Ubuntu Grub loader

I the drive for Linux was so I could install Second Life Browser and run it several times. Gasp - haven't done that yet.
