Work while You Sleep

OK, I'm not making this up.

On Friday I get a call from my key worker at the employment agency. She has a job for me and this one seems, well a little odd. What it is, as far as I understand, is sleeping at a nursing home and being woken up by alarms when something serious happens. I then apply 1st aid and phone an ambulance, if need be!

I'd take it in a second.
I do, however recommend quantities of B12 vitamins for quick, functional wake-ups.

Sleeping night staff are not unusual in care homes. Done it! :o)

They're called a 'Special' when my Mum gets called in for jobs like that, and she hates them. Mainly because they don't let her sleep! But this is good if they have filled that gap and are employing people for those types of work.
You will get a bit of $$$ as it's night shift.
It does knock you around though, sleep or not.
But it's interesting, let us all know what happens :)

I didn't like them either- only ever did them as a staff manager when there was no one else available- holiday cover and that sort of thing. However, it may also lead to other work, which is never a bad thing :o)

I'll see how it goes. If I'm totally wrecked after a week, then I'll know it's not for me. But for all I know, I might have an aptitude for this. :)
